Love this board and all the thought and analysis everyone puts into it. Feels sometimes like whole new episodes are opening up on these pages.

Here's a question that might lead to more do/don't you like Ginger...Where was Ginger in Episode 21 when Duke was shoving off from the lagoon to catch the reverse tsunami?

The Professor was on the beach seeing Duke off, Mary Ann and the Howells were in the bush watching and Gilligan/Skipper were finding a vantage point from which they could scout Duke's progress, but Ginger was conspicuously absent.

Did she still have feelings for Duke and couldn't trust herself?
Had she washed her hands of him and wanted nothing more to do with him?
Is she sad that she missed her best chance to have her "cobwebs cleaned out", so to speak, and stays in bed?
Is she just lazy? (although the Howells do manage to rouse themselves)
Did the others conspire to keep her away thinking the sight of her might cause Duke to change his mind?

Any thoughts...I'd enjoy hearing them.

Hi!

I think she wanted to show like she didn't care and figured she stay back at camp. They both had super egos and since he was the only man that didn't go super-ga-ga over her(like most men) she was probably pissed off. ;)

Hey...Great pic of a young Skipper.

Good point about her ego. She was the one that went ga-ga and lost the control in the relationship. Probably back at her hut packing up evening gowns figuring Duke's not worth her time anymore.

Guess Mary Ann either forgave Duke to a degree or was anxious to make sure everything went off right so she snuck down to the beach and would report back to Ginger. I remember Duke telling the Skipper as he was waxing the surfboard that he was talking to Mary Ann "before she turned in" so he apparently wasn't that scary.

Thanks for the reply. I love this episode and guess I miss seeing reruns on TV everyday so enjoy seeing the posts here.

Have a good one!
