I know a lot of ppl are putting down their house, but I've always thought if it were cleaned up and not so junked up, it would have actually been a neat little house.

It sorta had a cozy look to me.

I liked their house because, although full of junk, it was also full of love. Different items came and went, but Fred and Lamont's unwavering love for each other was always there.

I read somewhere that the house (cleaned up and without the junk) was actually the same set used on "What's Happening". True?

I like Fred's house too it was lived in and seemed to fit as a Junk man's house. I heard it was used as the What's Happening house too.

If you want to see what Fred and Lamont's house looks like when it's not "junked up" just watch What's Happening! They use the same house!

I lived above a junk store in LaCrosse, WI back in the 60s early 70s. Rent was 60.00 a month. Many happy memories :) It must have been where I got my love of history and antiques/collectibles.

I agree, I could always immagine it smelling like bacon frying and home cooking coming from the kitchen. Really a sense of HOME.
