Which did you prefer: the NBC Naomi with the long ponytail or later Naomi with the curly perm?

I preferred Dorothy Lyman wearing the long fall in the NBC years as well as those flowing skirts she wore instead of the capri pants she often had on in the syndies.

But of course, she always wore off-the-shoulder no matter what. In "The Flaming Forties" when Naomi and Vint are getting ready to chaperone the dance, Sonia moans "And Naomi....off the shoulder?". As everyone's leaving and chattering away you can make out Naomi defending her wardrobe to Vint saying "Everything I OWN is off-the-shoulder".

BTW I love how active this board has become ever since the DVD set was announced.

I love both Naomis but I prefer the syndicated wardrobe/hair better. As far as her attitude (willingness to tell off Mama), I like the NBC years better.

I love Mama's remark in the very first syndicated episode when we see Naomi's new hairdo. They are getting ready to go to Fran's funeral and Mama tells Naomi to do something with her hair and she replies "What's wrong with my hair?" and Mama shoot back "It's too BIG. Were going to a funeral not the Country Music Awards!".

I definitely prefer the NBC years for both hair and attitude.

LOL! Naomi did have the big country music star hair!! Wow the 80's/ We all did. Big perms and teased hair. Not just country girls. City girls as well . It was fun! Carrying a can of hairspray in my purse and a pick comb, for when I felt it was getting too flat! :rotflmao:
