Above are the 10 actors who appear on this show (including the dog, Jim) and they are ALL funny and the ensamble works together very well. To me, this is a rarity, even in ensamble shows that I love, invariably there is one person who could have fallen through to infinity that I would not miss. Here, no.

The "breakout star" is Melissa McCarthy, and probably this show is going to hinge on how long her contract is with the show, and does she want to move on to films while the fire is hot. Remember, she was an unknown when this show began and now that she is the star, obviously wants a lot more money and can leverage that. Considering this is a Chuck Lorre show on CBS, she can get what she wants. But I think a lot of the longevity of this show rests on her.

I couldn't agree more. For a time, it seemed the show was only about a string of fat jokes.

I would have to disagree Yong Fang that Melissa McCarthy was an "unknown" when Mike And Molly started. She was a series regular on Gilmore Girls. She played Sookie on the show.

I've been watching some of the reruns and I find them funny. But right now I'm watching Dancing with the Stars, after it's over I'll watch the new shows of M&M.

She's pretty funny on Mike & Molly, I'm thinking of the time she fell in the tub with Vince which had me laughing out loud. She was also funny in that movie Identity Thief with Jason Bateman. But not everyone is going to like her and find her funny.

I really like her. I think she is 'Real"!! She is a person we can relate to. She is funny , sweet and kind all rolled into one. Molly is like a real person we all know and love, and I just saw her in the St. Vincent movie. Same thing.;) Very nice, real , lovely good person, with a good heart and sense of humor !! ;)

I'm gonna have to agree with TMC. I watched her movie Tammy last night and I won't be watching her movies anymore. She has a foul mouth because she always curses a lot. She can be funny sometimes but I think she tries to go over the top too much to be funny. For example, the scene in Tammy when she robs the fast food place she used to work at, she tries to jump over the counter where the cash registers are and I shook my head because I couldn't believe she did that. Then there was another scene where she was standing on the kitchen counter getting some stuff and I was wondering how she did that because I didn't see a chair by the counter. She also hit a deer with her car and she got outta the car and started talking to the deer while she was laying on the street next to the deer. She needs to stop doing stuff like that to try to get laughs from people because her career won't last long. People will eventually get tired of her.

I saw her in Identity Theft with Jason Bateman. She was the only thing I liked about the movie.

But off topic. She's one of those girls who in a few years will probably lose allot of weight and people will say. "OMG! She's so HOT!"

I saw Identity Thief and The Heat with Sondra Bullock. Those movies are good. But like I said, I won't be seeing her movies anymore. If she did lose weight, I don't think she would get attention from men because she isn't cute.

OK I am not a total prude and do like some of Melissa's "blue" characters. I loved The Heat in particular. Butyes, some of the other movies didn't click for me at all. Plus it's enforcing a stereotype and causing more and more people to typecast MM when she can play more subtle, more straight characters. This is why I will probably not go back to watching Mike and Molly too, as they changed everything so MM could do the same thing ALL OVER AGAIN.

She played a very nice character in the St. Vincent movie with Bill Murray. She was a single mother. She wasn't crude or too silly or anything! ;)

That was a really good movie , worth seeing. Heart touching, was funny and also a tearjerker all in one. One of the best movies I've seen in a long time really! ;) If you want to see Melissa in a different way, watch this movie. I don't think it's in the theatre anymore, but it will of course be on release to view at home soon! ;)

Yes it really was good. I was pleasantly surprised, cause I did go into it thinking it would be a silly movie, being Bill Murray and Melissa were in it and a little boy starring in it too. I thought it would even be a kids movie. But like I said I was pleasantly surprised. It was really deep, emotional , very good. Kind of movie you laugh one minute, next minute you are tearing up! You should for sure check it out when it comes to video! ;)

You should give Mike and Molly a try though! I feel as you do. Not just CBS but any recent sitcoms aren't that great IMO! Mike and Molly really is funny though. They have a wonderful cast ensemble. Even a little dog who is so comical! Every character is really funny and realistic. You really feel like you are in blue collar Chicago when you are watching it. :)

And for the guys, eye candy, Molly's sister Victoria is beautiful. She's not as big as Molly! :D

I like Melissa McCarthy and as someone else said I think she's down to earth, and I think she's funny and kind of cute. So what's shocking to me is that dumb blonde airhead Jenny McCarthy is her first cousin and I can't stand her at all! It's like they couldn't be more different if they tried.

This show is an ensemble program, and there are no lead actors, despite the title. To me the star is the guy who plays Vince. Vince rules.

The absolute only reason anyone thinks Mccarthy is funny is because she is an OBESE FAT PIG , just like her co-star! Its no coincidence that now that Mccarthy is losing weight the show has been cancelled. The Show was only on because of the immense size of the two stars!

JM all I am saying is she parlayed being a FAT SLOB into an acting career and now that she is losing weight the show has been cancelled,it is very obvious that she only got the show because she was an out of shape FAT PIG!
