Mama's Date was the last run, as well as the last aird episode. It says that the show never had a final show, and that they just got cancelled. Were they supposed to all return for a 7th season for the 87-88 season? I really think there would have been another season, since none of the cast knew they were getting cancelled.

This is simmilar to Giligans Isle, Diff'rent Strokes, and the Brady Bunch.
