30 years ago, the NBA on CBS saw the 1983 NBA Finals as Julius Erving better known to fans as Dr. J won his only NBA Championship as the Philadelphia 76ers sweeps Magic Johnson and the Los Angeles Lakers to win the NBA Title

It was Dr. J's only NBA Title win and it was the Sixers' 3rd NBA Championship and they have not won an NBA Title since that time

But also, Moses Malone won MVP that year

I was a big Dr. J fan back in the day. He was one of the best players ever and may have won more championships if he hadn't spent the early part of his career in the ABA.
