It’s the summer. There’s nothing on, with few exceptions like Futurama and The Venture Bros. What’s a guy/gal who hates going outside to do? Watch old TV shows, that’s what. Recently, a friend mentioned that he wanted to start watching Mystery Science Theater 3000, but he wasn’t sure where to begin. He knew it was a great show and that you didn’t necessarily to start from episode one, which is where I’d usually suggest, but that was about it. This conversation got me to thinking, which season would I start with? They’re all great, but which is THE BEST.

Rather than simply rank every MST3K season, I expanded the parameters of the topic for this post, which lists the 10 best (American) sitcom seasons (http://www.uproxx.com/tv/2013/06/the-10-strongest-sitcom-seasons-over-the-past-20-years/2/) over the past two decades. I’m sure there were will be plenty of arguments, but let’s at least agree on one thing: NO FRIENDS. Also, only one season per show, but mostly NO FRIENDS.

Good list. Can't really argue with it. I might add Parks & Rec Season 3, Bob's Burgers Season 3, and New Girl Season 2.

I'd add season two or season six of The Big Bang Theory on that list.

The only shows on the list that I watch is Seinfeld and The Simpsons. Can't argue with the choice of seasons that they chose.

Btw, Friends has to be put in there. Season 1 or 2. I know people don't like it but it became a huge hit real fast.

There are a few shows on here that I haven't gotten around to watching but this list gives me some good reasons to start watching them. The shows I have seen I definitely agree with. One that I think could be added to a similar list would be the second season of How I Met Your Mother.
