Marvo301 06-28-2013, 01:55 PM I think Bronson Pinchot (Balki Bartokomous from Perfect Strangers) should put out a recipe book of Myposian delicacies!! lucy&vivfan 06-28-2013, 11:42 PM I've had my Granny Cookbook for years. Bought it at a garage sale in the 1980s I wouldn't mind having that :) stanwyckfan07 07-14-2014, 12:26 PM I wouldn't mind having that :) I wouldn't mind having a copy either and find it surprising how the book seems fairly rare these days when Irene was really a tv superstar at the time and you can find most celebrity books from the 1960s generally quite inexpensive and easily even at this late date. I guess perhaps because it was a cookbook it was handled more and discarded as it fell apart or aged where most of the other star books were biographies and the like and probably only handled a few times by their original owners. I do have one published treasure from the period though, well actually it's a children's joke book but signed by BOTH Irene and Donna Douglas - I believe the original owner was a kid who met them on a plane during one of their personal appearance tours. I got this priceless little gem quite cheap on ebay more than 15 years ago - less than 10 bucks!! Try getting Irene's signature on even a piece of paper these days for less than 50!! |
