View Full Version : Sampling of this show starts tonight on Antenna TV since it's a new cycle
TVFactFan 06-23-2013, 05:15 PM Just found out that the beginning of the series starts back on Antenna TV tonight at 8pm and now that I have the next 9 sundays free at 8pm, I will watch the show again
It would be better if the show was on during the week instead of once a week
Mr. Television 06-23-2013, 05:32 PM I'll have to watch too. Sunday is a bad timeslot.
TVFactFan 06-23-2013, 05:38 PM I'll have to watch too. Sunday is a bad timeslot.
With the two episodes tonight we will get to see a total of 12 episodes:lol:
That's messed up.
Well I will watch what I am able to for now.

And the first season is divided between Barney's work and home life...that's not what the show became.

I heard which means it would be better if season 2 was starting tonght
Ryan Chamberlain 06-23-2013, 07:58 PM Darn. I just started watching it on Antenna TV (I started going to bed earlier and watching a couple of eps before I crashed) and I don't wanna see the earlier seasons without Dietrich. :(
He was my fave. The show is not the same for me without him there.
Pavan 06-23-2013, 11:35 PM It is on Thursdays from 9-11pm, too...
TVFactFan 06-23-2013, 11:52 PM It is on Thursdays from 9-11pm, too...
So will thursday's episodes the 3rd and 4th episode from season 1?

Pav just informed me it comes on thursdays too from 9 to 11 so that's a total of 16 eps in July and August along with the 4 on 6/27 which makes 20
So that's 20 plus 10 in July and August plus 2 on 6/30 which is overall 42 eps we can see before football season lol
catlover79 07-21-2013, 04:23 PM So what do you think about the show so far, Sol?
TVFactFan 07-21-2013, 04:31 PM So what do you think about the show so far, Sol?
I don't get a chance to see it like I want to because it's not part of the daily schedule and I may forget
So I won't make a judgment on it just yet.
I just set the reminder for the episodes tonight
catlover79 07-21-2013, 04:33 PM OK, great!!
Pavan 07-21-2013, 05:20 PM He's not going to remember tonight either.

Unless Antenna TV airs this show at 6pm to 7pm during the week I am not going to see it after August because
1. Sunday Night Football
2. Thursday Night Football
The End

Well if you send me $10 a month I will get the DVR service from Comcast:lol:
catlover79 07-22-2013, 12:52 AM
biffbronson 07-22-2013, 06:22 AM Speaking of the '70s, I still have some 8-track tapes I haven't unloaded.
And although it's actually an early '80s machine, my brother is still hanging on to his Beta player (Betamax VCR) -- with a corded remote. You don't find too many of those around in working condition anymore.
The '70s was a strong decade for sitcoms. To begin with, in the 1970-72 period shows from the '60s like Bewitched, Hogan's Heroes, Green Acres, The Beverly Hillbillies, and My Three Sons were still going (wow -- the women on those shows later got to show some thigh!).
If it were up to me, I'd probably pair Barney Miller with Welcome Back, Kotter -- although I like the approach of back-to-back eps of the same series.
catlover79 07-22-2013, 11:24 AM Plus, Barney Miller ran twice as long as WBK - 8 seasons to their 4 - but I see what you mean.

My mom told last night I should have came along in the 50's LOL
