Holland-Dozier-Holland should've received a star years ago

As much as I like Jeff Lynne, it appears that he will receive a star as a solo act with no mention of ELO which is a travesty because they deserve a star as a band, not just Jeff.

Ray Parker Jr.?? Seriously?? The guy whose sole credit, other than being the lead singer of Raydio and the hit "You Can't Change That" is his plagiarizing of Huey Lewis' "I Want a New Drug" for the 'Ghostbusters' theme song??

ohno:

He also had a hit with Raydio, "Jack and Jill". And he had 7 top 40 solo hits, including "The Other Woman". And he wrote hits for other people ("Telephone Man" is a personal favorite of mine) so I could see how he's getting one. Katy Perry though? I have no idea why she deserves one this early into her career.

What does it say about the Grammy Awards when (in '84) Parker won the Grammy for the Ghostbusters theme...? Lewis got the compensation, but Parker walked away with music's biggest honor!
