It seems to me that people like Miley, Selene Gomez etc. are trying way too hard to show that they are all grown up and not Disney kids any more. to me it just proves that thy're not nearly as grown up as they think.

I totally agree. Grown up doesn't just mean wearing less clothes and moving around like a cat in heat.
