Outside of drastic weather, what is usually the top story on your local news ? Mine are always shootings, sometimes a half a dozen in an afternoon.It's getting so old and boring that I look forward to something else like a thief getting stuck in a chainlink fence or a politician be dragged away in handcuffs.

That's the way it is here. I don't even watch the local news much anymore except for the weather.

Yeah, I'm pretty much down to just the weather now but every once in a while they have something on their investigative reports that is interesting.L
Like seeing if that underground fire at that landfill has reached the nuclear waste they have buried there. Or why the superintendent has 9 relatives on the school board, and my favorite..The woman in charge of collecting money from parking fines and meters has 8 parking violations herself she has not paid.
