Between the original and current version of Jeopardy, there was a short lived revival of the classic quiz show that was hosted by Art Fleming. It was different from the format we were familiar with and it lasted from October 1978 to March 1979.

I didn't see a lot of the episodes because the local NBC affiliate blacked out Jeopardy in favor of a local talk show but I remember that after the first round, the lowest scoring contestant was eliminated and only two went on to Double Jeopardy. The winner played Super Jeopardy, where at least $5000 could be won if five answers were questions correctly without missing three.

Anyone remember this version of what Fleming referred to as "America's favorite answer and question game show.?"

I think I've seen the opening and at least one of the Super Jeopardy! bonus rounds, IIRC.

Our NBC outlet in Pittsburgh pre-empted it in favor of Jack Narz Concentration-ironic given that the original Concentration was the original Jeopardy's first lead-in from March '64 through September '65 when both were on from 11:00 to Noon-so it aired on the independent that is now the Fox station.
