View Full Version : A question...

It was inevitable...
When "Seinfeld" left the air, one by one the various cast members were lured back into returning to Network TV, so far with frightening results (Bob Patterson acutally gave me stomach cramps). The jury is still out on the Julia Louise Dryfuss show...

My question is, when "Friends" leaves the air, and the cast goes their seperate ways, (probably for a year or two) which cast member will be the first to return to TV?

My pick would be Matthew Perry. He has the most comic talent on the show, and I think it would be easier to develop a show around his persona.

Now, whether it will be a hit, is anybody's guess.

Matthew Perry would be my pick too! He's really a talented actor and he could do a great sitcom! But,I just hope people wouldn't see him as Chandler in that new role because that would be the end of his show.I think that's why the others actors like the Seidfeld's cast didn't do well in their sitcom.People always hope that they're going to act like their old characters. But,actors are researching completly different roles that would give them a break from their old one!Sometimes they make good choices and sometimes they don't:D

I'd like to see Matthew Perry say goodbye to television and do more movies. Sure, he's had a few stinkers at the box office, but he's had a few good movies, too ("The Whole Nine Yards" comes to mind).

I don't know about Matthew Perry. I think he's great and all, but the movies I've seen him in really sucked. I think the problem is that he's type cast - to me he will always be Chandler Bing.

Jen has been in movies and I didn't think much of those either. Lisa and Courtney might be able to make a suscessful break once Friends finishes, I think those two have something - especially Courtney.

I think Matthew Perry would be good on TV. Jennifer Anniston is probably moving on to movies.

Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox Arquette will most likely move on to movies.

Lisa Kudrow I can see doing commercials, and some guest appearances. Although, I would LOVE to see her if she went on a new sitcom.

Matthew Perry - Most likely movies, or just not really be in show biz at all anymore?

David & Matt - Maybe new TV shows, and maybe Movies. I don't really know what they'll do...

I can see everyone from Friends moving on to movies...Its hard to say what will actually happen.

I think David Schwimmer should become a teacher like all the rumours have suggested, either that or direct tv shows

I don't think Matt will do anything else after this, unless it is on stage.

Matthew Perry, Jennifer Aniston should keep trying movies. They both have the personas they just need the right part. I've heard Jen is good in "the good girl".

Courtney and Lisa will probably have the most success, Courtney has always worked since she started in the business, however I heard Lisa wants to be a mum again and poor Courtney has had another miscarriage so they will both probably take a longer breaks then the others, but again they should do movies.

I don't think any of them should do a sitcom again, most people will expect too much and not be able to get past the Friends personas, besides they have all said they wouldn't find another show where all the elements have come together so perfectly and I agree.
