Watching sporting events in HD is just fine. I'm sure most folks were stunned the first time they watched an HD sports broadcast in their home (I know I was). I'm sure it'll be a few years before the appreciation of HD wears off and people are ready for something else.

Just because, from a technological standpoint, something can be done, doesn't necessarily mean it HAS to be done.
