Back when Lifetime was a fledgling network, "Unsolved Mysteries" was it's featured program. Back in those days, it wouldn't be uncommon to find the show in a prime time slot because the network wasn't producing it's own original programming.

That is obviously no longer the case as not only is it producing it's own programming but some of those shows have proved to be quite successful. So "Unsolved Mysteries" has long been placed on the back burner in terms of what Lifetime chooses to air. In fact it's been proposed a few times on these forums by several members (myself included) that in order to retain the rights to air "Unsolved Mysteries", Lifetime may be contractually obligated to air a certain number of episodes per calendar year.

That would explain the marathons during the month of May as simply fulfilling their contractual obligations during a lull in their yearly scheduling where no original content was being produced. So the long and the short of it is, don't expect "Unsolved Mysteries" to return anytime soon to Lifetime's schedule unless it's on off hours such as early mornings on weekends or during the overnights during the week.

In reality, UM is airing 13 times in the next 2 weeks alone on Lifetime, including such choice time slots as 8 p.m.

Really? That's surprising. I thought all we'd be getting are reality television shows this summer on Lifetime. Thanks for the update!

Whatever, dude. I'm not in the least an avid modern pop listener, but will be the first to testify JT is mad talented--as a music artist and actor.

Agreed. It takes a great (not just good) artist to make the successful transition from boy band to acclaimed solo artist (as he did with the "Justified" album) in a matter of a few months. And be a white guy and get significant airplay on r&b stations.

i was so pumped that unsolved mysteries was showing it on t.v on wednedsay for like 8 hours. I knew it couldn't last forever, but it ended so soon. I did a search on my cable box, did a search for unsolved mysteries. didn't find any matches for the next two weeks.

Not sure if its 100% accurate but just checked my Dish Network on screen guide and it says two episodes of UM on Lifetime Wednesday evening starting at 5 pm central time.

I am not mentioning any specific websites, but unsolved mysteries is back online after it was taken down a few months ago. Again, I know I can't mention specifics, but just thought i would let people know.
