I just saw a new website that has introduced a new and simple way to get your favourite movies, TV shows, and music to you for free. If you go to your local library, you'll notice that in addition to books, they also offer an increasingly larger selection of CDs, DVDs, and audiobooks which you can get with your library card. Now there's a site called Hoopla which offers you the chance to use the same card to access these titles online and you don't have to leave your home to borrow them. It works like this:

First you go to the Hoopla Digital website which is here:

HooplaDigital (https://library.hoopladigital.com/home;jsessionid=07659A3848A12F7951E089D68A6CA314)

To join, you would have to sign up by first looking for the name of your local library and typing your card number and password that goes with it and then you can "borrow" the titles on the site and download the contents to whatever device you have.

Just browsing through what they have so far, and remember it's still a new service, I was impressed with some of the material they have already. Under the "Television" setting, they already have the first 2 seasons of "Dennis The Menace", "Father Knows Best", and "Here's Lucy" ready to watch. Here's a neat feature that I like. If you decide that you want to see, for example, Season 1 of "Father Knows Best", you can download it one episode at a time instead of checking out the entire contents. That way, if you only want to see a few episodes, you don't have to watch the whole thing. It's just another way that today's technology has made watching our favorite shows easier.
