Jane Lynch, Wife Divorcing after Three Years of Marriage

"Glee" star Jane Lynch and her wife Lara Embry are getting a divorce, People reports.

"Lara and I have decided to end our marriage," Lynch told People in a statement. "This has been a difficult decision for us as we care very deeply about one another. We ask for privacy as we deal with this family matter."



The two met at a fundraiser in 2009 and got married in Massachusetts over Memorial Day weekend in 2010. Embry has one daughter, Haden, from a previous relationship.

Lynch, who performed at the Tony Awards in New York City on Sunday, is currently starring as Miss Hannigan in the Broadway production of Annie.

It was just a matter of time before Gay Marriages ended in Gay Divorces. The institution of marriage is not only past it's prime and usefulness, it has been converted into something that feeds the financial needs of the commercial industries that caters to it. Above and beyond everything else, people must remember: You CANNOT legislate LOVE. It's there when it's there and it's GONE when it's gone. No contract that promises to love anyone forever has anything to do with the likelihood of how long (or short) that relationship will last. Love 'em while you love 'em; and move on after the love is gone without having to go to trial to break free.
