The character needed to grow, though he won't be changing that much.

I live in China and for some reason, this show is very popular here and it is very easy to find episodes online. I have never been a huge fan of the series, but I am a casual watcher and I have seen most of the episodes ranging from all the seasons.

I get bored with the show because it is about the same show. Basically four guys and their sexual hangups. It is too much about sex, sex, sex, sex. Penny and Leonard's up and down relationship, a homely Amy (Blossom, you were cute as pie as a teen, WTF happened?) trying unsuccessfully to make it sexually with a assexual/acts gay Sheldon, the Indian guy and his troubles. Wolowitz is the one who has matured the most, at least he got married.

That was the focus of the show, nerd guys and their awkwardness in relationships. That has sort of ran its course. Leonard as Penny, Sheldon has Amy if he wants to experiment with heterosexuality, and Wolowitz is married to a buxom blonde with a Betty Boop voice.

The only one without a female prospect is the poor Indian fellow (Rujipathi?). This is a kind of shallow racism TV has, the East and South Asian male characters are sad sacks who cant get laid and are generally losers no matter of achievement.

I do not watch this show for the story, but usually for the actors. Sheldon is funny as s**t. Actually all the characters and actors are good, but the story has not moved forward. And this is what bores me about the show.
