Does anybody know if there's any truth to the rumor(s) that there were 135 episodes produced of Mama's Family rather than 130? Some say there are 5 more NBC episodes that were never shown in syndication. All sources I've checked on the internet says the total number of episodes is 130.

I tend to believe the rumors aren't true, especially when it comes to syndicated-only characters being in the NBC shows and vice-versa. I've only seen those rumors here within the past two weeks or so.

And as I said in another thread:
It's just a rumor, and they most likely were scripted but never filmed episodes. Otherwise, you would have heard something already (like that banned episode from the original Hawaii Five-O for example).
That, and 130 episodes was 100% enough for this show to be repeated twice a year in syndication.

I just realized this was already discussed in another thread. Sorry!

Actually these rumors have been floating around the internet for years now. I remember back as early as 2001 at least I first heard these rumors on a Mama's Family web site I was on, which is now long gone.
ANYWAY from what I heard Vickie stated that they completed 135 episodes in an interview, and in a lot of episode guides there are 135 episodes listed but the titles are hard to match up with the plots. 2 of the episodes that are believed to be 2 of the missing episodes they are :
Snow Job and Raytown without Pity.
But again the missing episodes that are rumored that I've heard about are:
Snow Job: The Harpers are snowed in after a blizzard hits Raytown.
?????? : Eunice returns with some sort of bad news, possibly she is sick.
?????? : Buzz returns and wants to move back into the house.
?????? : Buzz and Sonja sneak the car out for a road trip and wreck it.
?????? : Mama and Iola try to get into the frozen food business.
Yeah I can only match up one title with the plot. Raytown without Pity could be either the one where Eunice returns OR the one where Buzz and Sonja wreck the car, I suppose.
Whether these are true or not, I DO tend to believe that Vickie and Carol did a few more Family sketches as Eunice and Mama, post Mama's Family.
I was watching a special once and they showed a brief clip of Eunice, Ed and Mama together, and they all looked MUCH older, Harvey looked really old, and Carol as Eunice was wearing glasses, and Mama looked like she did in the later episodes of Mama's Family.
And I once saw a picture of Eunice, in her glasses sitting next to a type writter. WHATEVER this was from it looked like something from the 90s.
My cousin told me she swears she saw sketch where Mama visits Eunice and Ed in Florida, again she could have been mistaken or pulling my leg, but I'm wondering if maybe there were some Family Sketches from Carol's show from the 90s, that maybe picked up after Mama's Family while Eunice and Ed are living in Florida? I saw most of those shows but don't remember any Eunice sketches, but there could have been.
Oh and alsoI have a VHS of one of Carol's specials, and on the back there is that pic of Eunice and Mama sitting on a couch together and they both look older. So who knows, it's got me really curious though.
