The Brady Bunch. It is such a classic and the plots in the show were very good.

Family Ties by a long shot. I liked the Brady Bunch sometimes, but Family Ties is the much better sitcom out of the two, I feel. I always found Brady Bunch to be a bit *too* corney for my liking.

I agree with "The Brady Bunch" being too corny. "Family Ties" is the best.

So you are trying to say Family Ties didn't have morals? Of course it did! :)

The Brady Bunch was a very unrealistic portrayal of a middle class family. The children were not typical teenagers, instead they were portrayed as goody 2 shoe kids with no real issues. The acting was ok, but the writing in my opinion, was awful.

Family Ties was a lot more realistic family unit, and it showed that everyone does not have to be perfect. Take the case of Nick, he was anything but perfect, but yet he was still a very likable character.

But overall the writing was much better with Family Ties. Plus it introduced Michael J. Fox to the world. Although he may have done other projects prior to Family Ties, this show is what really launched his career.

I agree entirely. Although I like watching Brady Bunch sometimes because it does brighten up your mood! (most of the time)

But Family Ties will always be the best, IMHO! :)

FAMILY TIES ALL THE WAY!

For one, it has a better theme song. ;)

Mike J Fox starrs in it...

and IMO, they have better plots, overall.

"The Brady Bunch" by far!!!

I'll never forget that mournful day when N@N replaced my beloved Bunch with "Family Cries" in the 9:30-10 slot!!!

"Family Cries" Ha. On Brady Bunch the kids are always whining, and Family Ties IS a good show, not a disappointment. :D

Exactly! Which is why I also chose Family Ties.

I couldn't have said it any better.

Family Ties is a better show as far as quality goes, but I prefer to watch The Brady Bunch .

If I was given a choice to only watch two episodes of Family Ties for the rest of my life, or every Brady Bunch episode, I'd rather watch the two Family Ties episodes over and over again. Family Ties was a multiple time Emmy winning show with some classic episodes, and good acting. The Brady Bunch was just fluff, with horrible acting. A 60's version of Full House is all The Brady Bunch is in my view.

I thought that they both were sort of corny shows. But I would have to say the Brady Bunch.

I liked Family Ties much better. I thought Meredith Baxter Birney is a far better actress than Florence Henderson. Steven and Elyse's relationship as husband and wife came across more realistic than Mike and Carol's.

Here's a discussion that could get started. Mike and Carol or Steven and Elyse
