I got to meet Rene about three years ago and had to tell him I was a huge Benson fan. He just smiled and proceeded to tell me this story about his son dressing like Clayton for Halloween when he was only about 7 or 8 years old (around the time when Rene started playing the Clayton character). His son denied that he was trying to be Clayton though. It was a pretty funny story. :p

You lucky duck! Rene sure seems like one of the most nicest guys to meet on the planet indeed! I've always wanted to meet him and get an autograph!!
Of course, he mostly shows up at Star Trek conventions...$$$ :-(
But it sure seems worth it, just for him :-)

And his stories never get old! He's such a great storyteller! And just as an FYI about his son Remy in connection to the story, if you check out Remy's Twitter (just type in Remy Auberjonois) his userpic is exactly that costume plus the stache!! :-)
