No, JJ could have been there for something else. People didn't believe in safe sex in the 70's?

So I guess he asked everyone who came inside the clinic. I would have told him..........."None of your damm business LOL

Jay probably over heard the other patients tell the nurse why they were there. I doubt anyone would have the guts to sit there and ask everyone in the room why they were at the free clinic

No matter what everyone else thinks of the episode itself, I had to crack up at Jay's ultra hip 70s garb.

Me too. I'd be really offended if a stranger had the nerve to ask me something so personal.
No one says VD anymore. Did that phrase die because we say STD now?

Yep...that's former "Tonight Show" host Jay Leno (in season three's "J.J. In Trouble"), all right; both Leno and his one-time competitor, the legendary David Letterman, wrote jokes for Jimmie Walker in the mid-'70s, as did future up-and-comers Louie Anderson, Elayne Boosler, and Byron Allen (among others). Leno and Letterman are mentioned in Walker's 2012 autobiography, "DYN-O-MITE!! Good Times, Bad Times, Our Times: A Memoir."
Jay Leno also spent time in the free clinic on One Day at a Time. Typecasting?

I couldn't understand why JJ got in so fast when all the other people were sitting there before him.

Cool to catch the very young Jay Leno, though.
