Something that I have wondered for a while is why didn't The Jetsons have the same level of success as The Flintstones did in the past?
The Flintstones original series had a 6 year run, ended up with numerous spin offs all the way into the 90s, hordes of TV movies, and three theatrically released films ("The Man Called Flintstone" and the two live action ones), as well as having cereals and vitamins.
Whereas the Jetsons only had the one series...one season in the 60s, followed by two more in the 80s, only two TV movies (One where they met The Flintstones, then the very odd "Rockin' With Judy Jetson") and one theatrically released movie (and one live action one that's been in developmental hell).
So...what is it that's keeping the Space-Age family from having the same success as the Stone Age one?
