"The Bachelorette" Premiere Hits Series Low

ABC's "The Bachelorette" (1.9/5) was back with a two-hour Season 9 premiere. The beginning of former "Bachelor" contestant Desiree Hartsock’s search for love started off down 27% from Season 8′s 90-minute premiere on May 14, 2012. That show was a lead-out from "Dancing With The Stars".

Head-to-head with NBC’s "The Voice" on Monday, last night’s "Bachelorette" was the lowest season debut in the show’s history. Monday’s season debut was also down from the 3.0/9 of Season 8’s finale on July 22.

"The Bachelorette" season premiere was followed by a "20/20" (1.3/4) special hosted by Barbara Walters.

This show needs to go away.
