I used to. I started when I was 16 but I gave up last year cos it was stupid. I was wasting my money and it was killing me too.
To be honest I can't believe that I was dumb enough to start smoking in the first place!

I do not smoke and I think it is the grossest habit anyone could have. I absolutely cannot stand when anyone smokes around me. Its as if they have no common sense. Not only is it hurting them but its hurting me as well making my clothes smell absolutely horrible. Another HUGE pet peeve of mine is when I'm at a restaurant and people light up and they are blowing smoke all the way over to my table and I cant even eat. I mean they're eating dinner.. why do they have to smoke? Thats just stupid. If I have to walk past them or something I always love to make it obvious that the smoke is bothering me by talking really loud about how gross smoking is and coughing and covering my mouth. I can not wait until the day when smoking will be banned in all public places in Indiana.. I know states like California already have those laws but they dont here yet. I also hope the price for cigarrettes keeps getting higher and higher. Well to close this reply I'll just say smoking sucks and tobacco is wacko!

I don't and don't ever want to pick up the habit. My dad has been smoking since before I was born, so I have no control over that. Even thought he quit for like 7 months, he picked it up with one cigarrette. I was really sad to see him break his streak. And also, our town in CO just put in a ban of smoking in all public places! It nice to see that something was done to improve our town.

OMG I never knew people could smoke in public places like that in different states. I live in California so that's against the law but it really bothers me when people smoke outside. I went to Disneyland and ALOT of adults were smoking, there are like LITTLE babys who go there and they're getting second hand smoke. It's so disrespectful. I do not smoke and will never smoke.

I don't smoke and I have no desire to. I heard it can cause lung cancer and other diseases. I would rather have a long healthy life than a non-healthy one.

Absolutely not!! It is so incredibly unhealthy.

My biggest complaint is parents who smoke around their kids. Second hand smoke is even worse for you and those poor little kids have no choice in the matter. Yeah, quitting is extremely difficult but if they really wanted to, they could quit - if not for their own health then at least for their kids health. I totally admire anyone who has the strength to quit (and of course those who never start in the first place).

kinda hard not to smoke when you come from a large family of smokers. That's
just me though!

If it weren't for cigarettes, George Harrison would still be with us...

And if it weren't for guns, John Lennon would still be with us.

Cigarettes and guns - let's get rid of both before the end of the 21st Century.

I don't smoke. I think it's a nasty and disgusting habit. People on my college campus smoke in front of the buildings all the time, usually in front of the door, and I hate it because the smoke gets in my face and on my clothes. I wish smoking was banned!!!

Yeah, I was thinking the exact same thing. The constant references to "weed" kinda give her away! ;)

No, I don't smoke and I don't ever plan on starting. It's so friggin' disgusting! You rot your lungs and you smell like an ashtray. Ewwwwwww! And I can't stand being around smokers because 2nd hand smoke is gross and it's not right when a non-smoker breathes in a smoker's cigarette smoke.

Oh and Cara or "nugz and dubz" or whoever the hell you are... we don't really care what you do every other Friday.

I smoke very occasionally. Sometimes I smoke when I am drinking, or sometimes when I am depressed, or sometimes if I am severely stressed. But really, I hardly smoke at all. I never have cigarettes on me. I do like to smoke cigars occasionally too, but I only smoke those on special occasions, and even then I usually only smoke like 1/3 of it before I let one of my friends finish it.

Ugh. They do that at mine too. It's like walking through a smoke screen just to get to class. :p

I gotta step in here. It really annoys me when people blame guns for needless deaths. Guns don't kill people, people kill people. People just need to learn common sense around guns. There have been guns in my house since before I was before I was born. When I got old enough, my dad took me aside and taught me gun safety. Now, the ammo was never anywhere near the guns, and the rifles were always taken apart. The point is, I always knew where everything was and I could have at anytime gone in there and gotten it. However, I knew gun safety and I knew not to touch it.

Back on subject now, I smoke occassionally. I usually smoke more around finals time then any other time (I think because of the stress :) ) I must say that I am curtious to others around me. I always ask before I light up. If it bothers anybody, then I don't light up. To me, its just common courtesy to ask those around you. The only other time that I smoke is sometimes when I drink I smoke. I love the smell of certain cigars, it reminds me of my grandfather. He used to smoke a particular brand that had a "ring" with it. Sometimes I would get it and sometimes my sister would. It depended who got it the time before. :)

haha, we're like peas in a pod. I tend to smoke more during finals too. But I don't usually have to worry about courtesy, because when I smoke I am usually alone, holed up in my room at my computer or studying. Either that or I go out on the porch.

lol, yeah I guess we are. We just keep finding out we have more and more in common :) The only time I'm with other people is when studying for my accounting classes, oh wait, thats ALL my classes :) We study in groups for that in the accounting lab (yes we have our own lab, or HAD, the conselor took it over. We're still fighting to get it back but that's another story :) )

You have a good point, and that's why the issue of guns is a sensitive one. Maybe I was a bit rash when I suggested we get "rid of" guns, but I do think there needs to be a harsher screening process to keep guns out of the hands of mentally unstable people.
