The final episode saw plot lines come to a close, characters come out of their shell, oh yeah, and Leonard left.

…Temporarily, of course. He’ll be back. He’s just gone to work for Dr. Stephen Hawking in the North Sea for four months or so, as you do.

We saw Raj’s relationship with Lucy reach its sad, albeit inevitable demise, Sheldon’s relationship with Amy get weirder, Penny’s relationship with Leonard tossed up into the air and Raj, in a tender moment in the episode, at long last overcome his “girl issues”.

With all this though comes questions, and as with any series finale, we long for answers. That’s why we’ve devised this list of 5 Things We Want To See In Series 7 when the Big Bang Theory comes back on our screens either in September 2013 or May next year.

Yes there are many questions to be answered. I hope the writers really take this opportunity to build the character's depth more, because there has been some criticism that they have drifted too far from their original "nerdiness".

Myself, I love the characters and the show. I never tire of watching reruns over and over. The anticipation of knowing what is about to come is sometimes even better than the surprise.

I would love to see Penny experience some success in her acting career and attain some sort of real professional status to match the rest of the gang, even though we all know that Sheldon will still look upon her aspirations with disdain. Perhaps if she got a role in a successful science fiction series, Sheldon would look upon her with a completely new level of respect and even possibly.... "worship"??? That would open the door for some really great story lines.

And now that Raj can talk... maybe he can continue to grow up relationship-wise instead of being the insecure sober guy and the obnoxious impaired guy in the group. After all... look at the transformation that Howard has gone through since meeting Bernadette.

With these possibilities and the ones from Leonard's absence, the potential for The Big Bang Theory's next season is HUGH! Let's hope the writers come up with some good creative story-lines so we can continue to laugh with these characters for many years to come.
