What a milestone! This is such a great show. I just recommend you don't watch the pilot and the finale back to back like I did today to celebrate. Unless you like emotional rollercoaster rides!

Wow, so hard to believe that it was so long ago! I still remember watching the finale at a party with some friends from the church singles group where I met my husband. I don't think most of them liked the finale b/c when the credits began to roll there was a collective "That's it?". Honestly I hated Cheers back then and was only at the party b/c they were going to watch Seinfeld before hand. Now, 20 years later I do like the show, which is only because I am such a huge fan of Frasier. Never thought Cheers would grow on me the way it has. It's not one of my favorite shows but it has some hilarious moments!
Wow 20 years, it just doesn't seem that long ago since the finale. They had such a great cast, wish it hadn't ended.
Johnny be good!

1993 was the year that Cheers along with A Different World Ended and it was also the end of Quantum Leap and Knots Landing
It was such a sad year for Prime Time Television
I read on IMDb that Cheers quite possibly could've easily gone for at least another season had it not been for the facts that A) Ted Danson not already announced his intentions of leaving the show after the 11th season and B) Woody Harrelson not turned down the "back up plan" proposal of his character taking over the bar from Sam (since Harrelson didn't want to do the show w/o Ted Danson).
