I'm not sure what it is but I cannot get into the first two seasons of the show because it just seems to 50ish to me. It actually seems a lot older than the Honeymooners which actually started in the 50's

The seasons 3 and after just has a better feel to it and not so old. That;s why I avoid seasons 1 and 2 in syndication

grammatically speaking, no you didn't

you should have done a poll anyways - it would probably yield more information relevant to your question.

I was trying to get a discussion going about why seasons 3 to 11 are so much better.

I mentioned this in the "worst episodes" thread. Seasons 1 and 2 are in the "still in development" phase for the show. A lot of changes still needed to be made before the show became what we're more familiar with. Not only in regards to the usage of certain characters, but also in the pacing. The pacing is a lot slower in these early seasons, which I believe partially had to do with the lack of a studio audience. With an audience, everybody knew exactly where the laughs were. Additionally, the audience gave the show a lot of energy.

That's just my take on it.

i definitely prefer seasons 3-11 over 1 & 2, but I still would have purchased the first two even if they had made ALL of the seasons sets available at the same time.

It's strange that the first eight seasons each have their own choice, but the last three are lumped into one.

Maximum choices are 9. Sorry.
