I see that my post titled "General Hospital" has fifty views and zero replies. I think that it is very fitting that it has fifty views because the TV show known as "General Hospital" came out fifty years ago. When I first posted that thread it was to point out that that series came out the same year as an event that is far more important to me! The event that I am referring to is the birth of this show's lovely little Helen Hunt! It really makes me sad that she is as far out of the spotlight as she is these days! There are so many stars that are quite a bit older than her who are still holding their own. Meryl Streep anyone? Well, over on the "Caroline in the City" page, I saw that one of my previous threads had sixty-three views and zero replies. Doing the math, you can figure out that, fifty years ago, it was 1963 and that was the year of these events. However, because I felt that I had beaten Helen Hunt and "General Hospital" into the ground, I decided to commemorate this thread by writing about yet another event that took place in 1963. This time around, I chose to write about the fact that in 1963, optional prayer in the public schools was outlawed by the Supreme Court of the United States. I titled this thread "A Prayer Meeting". I do not remember how many views it has, but I know that it has no replies. I am not surprised! In any event I would not like to direct a message to the whomever happens to read this thread. Next time we have a prayer meeting, it is your turn to bring the donuts for us to have with coffee after the service is over!
