(The Indiana Pacers won the Eastern Conference Semifianls, 4 games to 2, by beating the NY Knicks 105-99.)

(Ralph & Ed come home dejected.)

Alice: "Ralph & Ed, I know how you must feel."

Ed: "You don't know the half of it Alice. It was a very bad game."

(Ed blows his nose out of sadness.)

Ralph: "Yes, what a bad game. The Knicks were two wins away from having the honor of playing near that Fun and Sun Capital of the World, Miami Beach."

(Audience cheers.)

Ralph: "Also, I so wanted the Knicks to face the Nets as well as having the Nets play near Miami Beach. Now, all of my dreams have been shattered. Two other dreams of mine were shattered. One was the Candy Store Dream and the Pony Dream. I wanted a pony when I was a kid but my parents couldn't afford it. The story of my life: Shattered Dreams."

Ed: "I will make it up to you Ralph. Every Sunday, I will treat you to a Pony Ride."

(Ralph's eyes light up with anger.)

Ralph (yells): "DO YOU WANT ME TO KNOCK YOU OUT, NORTON?"

Ed: "Time to cheer up Ralph. You got smile."

Alice: "Yeah Ralph, you got to smile."

Ed: "Come on Ralph, smile. Give me those teeth. Turn that frown upside-down."

(Ralph smiles.)

Ed: "Why don't we turn on the radio?"

Alice: "Good idea Ed."

(Ed turns on the radio.)

Howie Rose (on radio): "This is Howie Rose from WFAN in New York. The Knicks got really beaten by the Indiana Pacers thus ending people's hopes that they would play Miami on top of the fact, those same people are sad that the Knicks/Nets never got to play each other."

(Ralph slams the radio down.)

Ralph (yells): "GET OUT ED! GET OUT! GEEEEEEEEEET OUT!"

(Ed leaves.)

(Jackie Gleason walks on stage. Audience applauds.)

Jackie: "Thank you. Everyone, we tried to get Howie Rose to come on down to Miami Beach but due to other conflicts, he wasn't able to come on down here. If he ever does, I am pretty sure that he would say that the Miami Beach audiences are the best. Good night everyone."

(Audience cheers.)
