I used to think that the flashback portions of this episode were original footage with Frasier and Niles added to them.

BUT, here are the transcripts from the first episode when Niles met Daphne. (Dinner at Eight)

Frasier: "Daphne, this is my brother Niles."
Niles: "You're Daphne?"
Daphne: "Why, yes I am."
Niles: "Well, I... When Frasier told me he'd hired an Englishwoman, I pictured someone a little more... not quite so... you're Daphne?"
Daphne: "It's nice to meet you."

Now here are the transcripts from the flashback in Daphne Returns (season 8):

Frasier: "Daphne? This is my brother Niles."
Niles: "You're Daphne?"
Daphne: "Why, yes I am."
Niles: "When Frasier told me he hired an Englishwoman, I pictured someone a little more... not quite so... you're Daphne?"
Daphne: "Right again. It's very nice to meet you."

In this version, Daphne says, "Right again."

Oh wow! Never noticed that before! I wonder if that was a different take or something! I always thought that in the "original" when he's trying to impress her by saying that he's an anglophile, she kind of dismisses him and his feelings were hurt a bit. But I do love that episode!
