I did. They were very good about being coy if Steve Carell would appear in the finale. He did. Had me fooled up to his introduction. There he was. I openly applauded. He had to come back, and there he was.

But I still can complain. I want to know what he has done the last two years. It would have taken no more than 30 seconds. I am an executive in Denver, and I and Holly have twin children. And they should have had Amy Ryan show up with the babies. That is the only unsatisfying thing about the finale.

But I did slap hands and tear up when Steve Carrell showed.

I was pretty shocked when he showed up! His appearance wasn't much more than a cameo, though. That was cute when he did speak and said something about "his kids" all grown up any marrying each other. (Dwight & Angela, Jim & Pam)

I wasn't applauding, but I was beaming from ear to ear. :) What a wonderful surprise. I guess Steve Carrell and the producers played a practical joke on us by suggesting he would not be in the finale. I have no problem with that! The payoff was great. I was laughing out loud at several points throughout the episode. I'm still laughing, thinking about some of those scenes. Loved it!

I was thinking all along, Steve Carell NEEDS to be there for the finale! After all, he was the main star of the show for seven seasons! He had said he wasn't going back for it. I wonder if they begged him to appear, or if it was planned all along, and kept a secret.
