My old one, which I hardly ever use, and which is no longer hooked up to the internet is a Gateway Astro (or something like that)... a very limited machine, but okay as a first computer.

My first computer was a Hewlett Packard but I got a new E Machine last fall and it works sooooooooooooo much better! Cheaper too!:)

I seriously don't know.

But in a few months I shall be getting a laptop with Windows XP AND Internet access in my room!! *dances* That way I can stay on late at night :D

I have a Dell Inspiron 2500 Notebook. I would really suggest that if any of you get a laptop and want a Dell, get a 4100 or higher. They're lighter anyway. This thing has SOOOO many bugs (not viruses, just strange glitches) that get me SOOO mad!! It has an attitude problem. Maybe it's Windows ME?

I also have a Gateway something that is a little bit less picky. You can run more than one window on the internet at a time without fear that the computer will freeze (like with my Dell).

Mine is a Sony Vaio but the "family" one is a Gateway 2000

I have a compaq presareo.

I have no idea what my computer is. It's basically just bits and pieces from other computers just kinda thrown together. Needless to say, it's a bit crap but it works. It gets me onto these boards every day so I shan't complain.

I have a 4 year old Gateway with Windows 98 and an HP Laser Jet Printer (6L) The computer still works good, but the printer has had TONS of use and it likes to spit out multiple blank pages (Especially when the bin is low) and it's been jamming quite frequently when multi pages come out. Since it is 4 years old like the computer, I have decided to spare the $85-100 repair cost and just feed the pages through manually. (I don't even do a lot of printing, but another family member does for her business.)

I have a Hewlit-Packard Pavilion. Just got it a little more then a month ago.

Speaking of parents, I know what u mean! I have a wonderful Mom, but my dad is another story. He was always telling me stuff like he'd buy me all kinds of things then he'd never come through!!! Lotsa HP Pavillon owners here! lol. Its okay, I havent had any real problems with it. I have had tons of problems with my HP digital camera though. My advice to anyone who wants a digi cam is do not buy an HP one! Mine has broken twice and I've only had it since Christmas. It would just quit working. Luckily though they've sent replacement cameras both times.

I own a Gateway,computer but i'm thinking about saving up for a Dell computer with a CD Burner so i can Burn CDS of my own.

Well the computer I'm currently on is...a computer. I have no clue what type it is. And my other computer is a Dell Laptop and it sucks.

I have a Dell but I have no idea what kind. It's that black one that they had on the advertisements for awhile. :lol: But I don't have the black monitor, keyboard or mouse, I have a flat screen and a wireless keyboard and mouse.

I've got an emachines, too. Since April or May of 2002. I'm satisfied with it.

Mine is a Gateway, don't know the model. I just went to a Gateway Store 2 years ago and bought the whole setup...scanner, printer, large monitor. I haven't had a minute's trouble with it.
I bought this huge cherrywood computer desk for it at a furniture store and a comfy highback desk chair at Staples.
I've got AOL and AT&T Broadband whatever it is.
Computer stuff confuses me. All I know is my system is superfast, and trouble-free and that's all I really care about.

I have a Dell Dimension

Well I own a KDS laptop it's not a famous brand but my dad since he is an insurance man some one lost this computer and bought a new one so when they found this computer they sent it to my dad and the company let him buy it for 75 bucks so he asked me if I wanted it and of course I said yes for that price. But we do have a regular computer at home and that is an IBM but my dad has a regular and a loptop at the office and there both dells.

I have a Micron PC:D

A 4 year old Gateway2000 with Windows 98, An HP Laser Jet 6L Printer, a 17" monitor, 160mgs/RAM 5 GB Hard Drive and 2 CD Rom drives. (The second I got a deal on from some computer discount place)

It still works good!

I tried to order a Dell online, but they never began making it and suddenly cancelled my order without reason. Since then, I have been advising everyone to steer clear of Dell. If you really want a Dell, try to get one that you see advertised on HSN or QVC so you won't have to deal with Dell.

My Dads (which Im using now because mine wont connect to the internet now for some reason) which is a GateWay. Mines an E Machine which is my fav., then I have my other computer in my room which I dont use anymore. Im too lazy to see what kind it is, get over it.

We have an IBM computer and it dosen't work that well.

I own a Mac (a laptop, which sucks) and our family owns a Gateway.
