Firefighters get quite the chuckle when called to rescue NYPD officer

A New York City police officer is forced to make an embarrassing 911 call after getting stuck in a tree while trying to save a cat. Officer Dane Natto responded to several 911 calls about a cat stuck up in a tree on Monday. He set up cones around the tree in Queens and lit a flare, and was soon surrounded by elementary school students, the New York Post reported.
The cat repeatedly bound away from Natto, even when he climbed up the tree in an attempt to snatch it down. Soon, Natto found himself stuck and, after a good laugh, his partner called 911. When firefighters did arrive, "they didn’t go straight to helping him," a witness told the Post. "They all gathered around and laughed at him. They took their time just crowding around. It seemed the officer was enjoying himself." Firefighters eventually used a bucket ladder to free the kitty and Natto, The Associated Press reported.
