Are the creators really going to stretch out Robin and Barney's wedding over the season?

i think they are going to continue with the same time-shifting story telling they have been doing all along, so while they will take the entire season to tell the wedding weekend story, they will intersperse it with flashbacks and flash forwards and opposing viewpoints to flesh it out.

How is the entire final season on HIMYM, which is probably going to be a full season (22 eps), possibly going to take place entirely within one weekend? This "concentrate-an-entire-season-into-one-weekend" idea would have been more appropriate for an abbreviated season of 12 eps. Looks like the majority of this final season should be filler.

I am looking forward to seeing how this will all turn out. This formula used seems like shades of the FOX drama "24" from the Millineum decade.

I noticed that the production codes for the 9th season of How I Met Your Mother are out of order. The production codes are as follows:

Episode 3 ("Last Time in New York") is 9ALH04; Episode 4 ("The Broken Code") is 9ALH03; Episode 9 ("Platonish") is 9ALH10; Episode 10 ("Mom and Dad") is 9ALH09; Episode 11 ("Bedtime Stories") is 9ALH12; Episode 12 ("The Rehearsal Dinner") is 9ALH11; Episode 14 ("Slapsgiving 3: Slappointment in Slapmarra") is 9ALH15; Episode 15 ("Unpause") is 9ALH14; Epsidoe 17 ("Sunrise") is 9ALH18; and Episode 18 ("Rally") is 9ALH17.

Its kind of confusing, with all the flashbacks and dreams.

The last season moves at a snails pace with throwaway episode after throwaway episode then the final episode blows through about 15 years in the blink of an eye. But here are some more sticklers (http://officialfan.proboards.com/thread/510360/horrible-last-seasons-tv-shows) about the last season and more importantly, the finale:

- Spending AN ENTIRE SEASON on a wedding that ultimately meant nothing 20 minutes into the finale of said season.

- Undoing ALL character growth from the last 9 seasons.

- Killing the mother, who turned out to be a fine character in the short time she was there, leading to...

- Shoehorning Ted & Robin back in, despite having spent SIX seasons telling us they couldn't work and despite the fact they built up Barney & Robin as something good.

Bad idea for the entire season to be devoted to the wedding and an even worse idea to kill the mother off in the finale.

This really ended the show on a bad note, IMO.
