They're nothing alike really. While The Honeymooners isn't a favorite of mine it's much better than the King of Queens.

I don't know if it was intentionally done as a copy or homage to The Honeymooner, but there are a couple of at least superficial similarities. A very overweight husband who drives a large commercial vehicle for a living, with all sorts of crazy schemes for getting ahead life. A long suffering wife - pretty enough to make people wonder what she's doing with him - who puts up with it all.

But, most married-couple based sitcoms are focused on a hapless husband and a long suffering wife, and so in these two cases, maybe only the husband's weight and job are really similar. But you made an interesting point I had never thought of before.

There's a lot of similarities, to these shows. Kevin James, even said once that his show is like an updated version of the HM... In one eps. they did a spoof on the HM. Both shows are good and the HM is a classic! You must be under 25...:happyface
