Everybody is fed up of Hipsters. In the past years hipsters rose to such popularity to the point where it became a trend, and as such, being hipster wasn’t hipster anymore. Even Hipsters are fed up of Hipsters.
In reality, Hipsters evolved from a notion that we can have alternative lifestyles, we don’t have to follow the masses and we are not to conform to what society deems acceptable behaviour – to a derogatory term describing middle-class university graduates who live in densely populated areas, dress weird and account for the majority of skinny soy lattes Starbucks sells.
Today, hipsters have a large presence on TV even thought there aren’t many shows about them. Their popularity quickly turned them into a sort of laughing stock on sitcoms and sketch shows because television is very good at following trends, and real Hipsters don’t watch television.
