(The Indiana Pacers beat the NY Knicks 82-71.)
(Ralph is sitting home on the kitchen table.)
Ralph: "You know Alice, after seeing the Knicks-Pacers game last night, I was sad. The Knicks lost to the lowly Pacers. This is terrible."
Alice: "Ralph, it's just game 3. The Knicks can come back."
Ralph: "What if they don't Alice? I so wanted the Knicks to win the NBA title. I so want to relive the glory of seeing them win and each and every year, I keep on getting depressed. I am just as hardcore a Knick fan as that kid from the movie Crooklyn. Spike Lee would like me."
Alice: "Oh, I am sure he would."
Ralph: "As a mtter of fact, not only do I want to see the Knicks win, I want to be there in person sitting courtside. I will love to see the confetti drop from MSG's ceiling. It would be a sight to behold especially since MSG is looking better thanks to renovations."
Alice: "Oh, it certainly looks better Ralph. But, what if you get hit with the ball Ralph?"
Ralph: "I wouldn't be scared. I can remember the last time we sat courtside. I thought I would laugh when I saw you duck out of the way of the ball. You could have caught it and threw it back."
Alice: "You could you see me when the ball was coming at us? You ran away."
Ralph: "Oh, you are a riot Alice."
(Ed comes down.)
Ed: "Whaddaya say Kramdens? I am worried about the next Knick game Ralph. I am worried that they might lose and they might win."
Ralph: "Why are you worried about the Knicks winning?"
Ed: "Well, if they do, I know that you would be jumping up and down in celebration and break the floor and/or you might get a heart attack."
Ralph (yells): "GEEEEEEEEEEEEEET OUT! GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET OUT!"
(Ed leaves.)
(Jackie Gleason walks on stage. Audience applauds.)
Jackie: "Thank you. GOOD NIGHT!"
(Audience cheers.)
