UPDATED 9:58 AM CDT May 08, 2013

A sneeze sent a garbage truck barreling into a home in New Jersey on Tuesday.

According to police, the truck driver lost control of the vehicle and crossed several lawns before crashing into a home in East Hanover and bursting into flames, New York TV station WCBS reported.

The family inside the house made it out safely.

The truck driver was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

According to WCBS, the crash caused so much damage that the home had to be demolished.

The driver told police he sneezed before the accident, causing a water bottle to roll under the brake.

It happened to me once, I was driving and I sneezed and reared end a car and of course the driver did not believe that I sneezed but the car next to me saw me sneeze so I got a witness and told police that I sneezed but all is good though since his and my car is repaired and all is forgiven

The house was demolished, and the truck burst into flames, and nobody was hurt. It almost sounds like a miracle.

I know. It's a miracle everyone in the house and the driver in the truck were able to get out without any major injuries.

It really is! I would have died of a heart attack if I had been the family in the house. A sneeze isn't something you can control either. Sometimes you don't even get any notice because it just hits you so fast. That poor guy... He has to live with that for the rest of his life. :( And that family, gah!
