He had Lamont's back sometimes but he got Lamont in a lot of trouble and didn't help him a lot!

Yeah, Rollo couldn't help Lamont in that fight, but he was a true friend. Whenever Rollo made plans, Lamont was the first he made plans with. You can be a true friend in more ways than helping one fight.

Rollo didn't exactly have Lamont's back in the "Lamont Goes African" episode. He was pretty quick to agree with Olayia that Lamont doesn't treat his father very well.

Rollo was honest and real on that aspect.

Yeah but rollo could have distracted jo jo jackson by insulting him before he beats up lamont, i wanted to see rollo and lamont take down jo jo together producers should have found a way for it to happen anything is possible in the TV world.

I'm sure Rollo would grin with his far away stare and slowly say:

"Man... I'm a lover, not a fighter..."

Who do you think Lamont considered his BFF, Rollo or Julio ? (The guy that lived next door that had the pet goat).

I loved that goat!!!

Oh yeah, Julio was cool, always so patient with Fred's blustery bigotry.

Julio was a cool, laid back guy! ;)

A funny line that comes to mind on an episode with Julio. Julio was also a junk dealer and he and Lamont were thinking of starting a business together . Fred of course wasn't for it, and he said "You should call it Julio's and Big Foolios"!!! :D  So funny, every time I see that epp, when Fred says that it cracks me up!

Yeah, so many great Sanford & Son memories and laugh out loud moments, my favorite may be Bubba's:

"I want my daddy's records."

Deadpan but somehow hilarious delivery.

Yes... Master of The Blues... nothing sadder than the sound of crunching ancient vinyl.

And I know that there's no relation, but thanks to this thread I can't get this tune out of my head...

I thought of that goat often when I had a huge area of land that needed mowing... just get a goat and let him chow down!

I always thought goats were cool!;) A cute and for the most part calm animal, like it would make a nice pet!!;) But they do like to eat, and almost anything!! !! You really need to have a farm or lots of land to keep a goat as a pet! I could see where Fred would complain when Chico (that was the goats name , right? )came in his house ! Isn't it cool, they really do rent out goats and sheep to clear fields and such, they will just eat and eat the grass and brush! ;)

Rollo to Lamont: "Man you my ace, and I love you like a blood brother, but I wouldn't fight Jo Jo if he hit my mama!

By the way, you ever notice that that was probably the least number of lines Rollo ever had on any show in which appeared?!! In fact, aside from 'odabo, jack', I can't remember anything else he said during the whole show!

Two on one, jumping someone is very dishonorable. What he could have done is talk lamont down from Jo Jo, he knew Jo Jo would drag Lamont, lol
