(The NY Rangers beat the Washington Capitals 4-3.)

(Ralph & Ed are having lunch down by the sewer.)

Ralph: “Did you see the way that the Rangers beat the Capitals Norton?”

Ed: “I certainly did Ralph-ie boy. Those Capitals have got to be feeling pretty stupid. I am telling you. They had a two game lead. Now, it’s tied.”

Ralph: “Now, it’s an even playing ice field. The Rangers/Islanders are going to meet in the third round. I can feel it. New York is going to be in for a real treat.”

Ed: “And if they both lose in game 7 of the second round, New York will be real sad.”

Ralph: “That won’t happen Norton. This time, the Rangers are going to beat the Capitals. It will be great. If both of our teams make it to the third round, one will go to the Stanley Cup. Imagine drinking out of that thing.”

Ed: “I can. Imagine how much milk you can put in that thing.”

Ralph: “Milk? That thing is designed to have beer in it. If I was a player and won the Cup I would take it down to Miami Beach.”

(Audience cheers.)

Ed: “If I won, I would take it down in the sewer.”

Ralph: “With you doing that, that figures. But, we can all agree the Stanley Cup is huge and it deserves to be held by a New York team.”

(They both sing a song about the Stanley Cup with the June Taylor Dancers [dressed as hockey players] are dancing in the background.)

(Jackie Gleason walks on stage. Audience applauds.)

Jackie: “Thank you. Well, we couldn’t have members of the Islanders and the Rangers with us tonight. So, let’s give a big hand for June Taylor and her dancers. Take a bow.”

(The camera zooms in on June Taylor and her dancers then back onto Jackie.)

Jackie: “They will agree with me. The Miami Beach audiences are the BEST! GOOD NIGHT!”

(Audience cheers.)
