i voted a while back, when this poll first started. i hadnt seen the first season of ER, so i didnt really know ross and carol, but i love them now. i only voted for abby, because i saw 'you can vote for more than one" after i had already clicked submit. darnnnn. i would've voted for more! oh well. im just glad abby's in first!! best ever! maura rocks.

I actually don't have cable. BUT, I did record several of her TV movies when they debuted on network TV. I still have A Friend To Die For (aka Death of a Cheerleader), If Someone Had Known, Her Hidden Truth, and The Face on The Milk Carton around somewhere. I enjoyed Life Goes On, but my all-time favorite role of hers was that of Christy, which aired on CBS from 1994-95. Watching Paul McCrane as the nasty Dr. Romano, it's hard to believe his first big role was that of gay, sensitive drama student Montgomery in the movie Fame. He sang on the soundtrack, too!!

I remember Christy! She was also GREAT on Life Goes On. And you can call me bias, but I love Lucy Knight the best. :)

There was a few movies she did on the Hallmark Channel that were pretty good too.

I had no clue about Paul McCrane....I may have to rent that movie now.

Yes, rent Fame! Back then, he had hair!! :joke: :lol: Christy is now available on DVD - all the Kellie Martin episodes. The chemistry between her and Dr. MacNeill (Stewart Finlay-McLennan) was HOT. I'll always have a soft spot for both the TV show and the book because it was the last special thing I shared with my grandma before she passed in 1995. We both adored the book, and when it came to the show, we were hooked. Even if we couldn't get together to watch the episodes, we'd call each other during the commercial breaks to commiserate. SIGH...those were the days.

As for Kellie Martin today, she is now a mommy to a baby girl and has put her career on hold for the time being. I've always enjoyed her work and have admired the range of roles she has taken on. I wish her nothing but the best!!

um, no. not from me anyway. i always liked mark and susan- yes they never got married to one another but the pair had chemstry and a connection together when they worked alongside each other, and as close friends. i thought they would be right for each other, elizabeth on the other hand came across as being a bit uptight in places, whereas with susan, she is very easy- going in her manner and likable. its not that liz was british, i just felt that she and mark were incompatible as a couple.

in the episode where the ER staff members find out via a letter that carter reads that Mark had died, you could sense that with susan, she still loved mark and that his death devasted her as much as abby, luka etc, not to mention his wife-turned widow elizabeth

I was only kidding about Elizabeth. I know you don't care for her. I liked Mark and Susan early on, but later I couldn't see anyone with him except "Lizzy."

And "The Letter" is one of the absolute best episodes.
