(The NY Knicks beat the Indiana Pacers 105-79.)
(Ralph & Ed are at the Gotham Bus Company on Ralph & Ed's lunch hour.)
Ralph: "What a rout Ed. The Knicks really took those Pacers to school."
Ed: "Took them to school? Ralph, they just beat them at a game."
(Ralph rolls his eyes.)
Ralph: "Norton, you a stupe. When I say that they took them to school, I meant that they routed them. 105-79 was the score."
Ed: "105-79 pernts (points). That wasn't a blitz. That was a BLOUTZ."
Ralph: "You should have seen that Joe Fenstablau's face. He was upset that the Pacers didn't beat the Knicks. We got to support the Knicks in their quest to end their 40 year long drought."
Ed: "I agree. I am just like that Knicks fan in the movie Crooklyn."
Ralph: "Yeah and you have the intellignece to match. It has been forty years too long. When the Knicks celebrate, I am sure that Patrick Ewing will be on hand to congratulate the team. During that guy's almost 20 year long Hall of Fame career, he never had a Championship ring. He deserves it."
(Ed blows his nose out of sadness.)
Ed: "Sort of gets you right down in here, don't it Ralph?"
Ralph: "Yes, it does. I think that the NBA title needs to stay in New York."
Ed: "Yes, it does. But, if it doesn't, chances are real good that it will go to the Miami Heat. That will be great."
(Audience cheers.)
Ralph (yells): "GET OUT! GEEEEEEEET OUT OF HERE!"
(Ed leaves.)
(Jackie Gleason walks on stage. Audience applauds.)
Jackie: "I just want to say that if the Knicks don't win the NBA title, I will be happy for the Heat."
(Audience cheers.)
Jackie: "The Miami Beach audiences are the BEST! GOOD NIGHT!"
(Audience cheers.)
