View Full Version : What age range do you fall into?
gilligan fanatic 05-05-2013, 09:55 AM We have done this lots of times, in fact here is one from 2006, (http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?t=164616&) It doesn't seem like we attract younger members anymore, just curious how much this has changed. That poll had 77 voters, I doubt we get anywhere near that.
*ROGER* 05-05-2013, 09:59 AM I'm a middle aged fart of 42

I can do that!
There are a set of similar stairs at a Target store... an escalator on each side and a series of stairs in the middle.
I "keep in practice" because there are a stairway (12 steps) at my house and I probably walk/run up and down them 30 times per day! Not on purpose, just an ordinary routine.

So staircases that are that steep are normal within retail stores in California?
Whenever I visited Midtown Manhattan, specifically at 5th Avenue & 53rd Street Station like I've showed you there, I used to run up that thing just for kicks. The last time I tried it that damn staircase knocked the wind out of me. After that, never again. I'll take the escalators.
Here's the staircase from another angle.

PZelda 05-07-2013, 09:48 AM I've seen these stairs in NYC! I know some of the subways at the tip of Manhattan have these stairs. Whitehall R station, for instance. And D-Dey is correct - these stairs are always crazy steep!
I'm 27... Will be 28 in August. :)

Well, no not really, just surprising considering in the 2006 poll there was 28.

Yes, those are steep.
But if I was there, I would give them a try. It can't be any worse bicycling up the steep hills out here.

Fleet, if you're ever in Midtown Manhattan, you're welcome to them.

I can smell the embalming fluid already.
My phone has been ringing late at night and when I check the caller ID it says Grim Reaper.
Like Archie Bunker said, " My bus has sailed "

These days, 54 is practically young. Especially when you see people out there like Betty White (91).

Yes, I would like to try them.
I've hiked up some steep mountain trails, so I am used to it. Also bicycling up steep hills.
Mr. Television 06-23-2013, 05:55 PM I think Sitcoms Online is slowly moving out of the desired demographics.
HuntingtonM15 06-23-2013, 06:09 PM I'm 27... Will be 28 in August. :)
Same, except 28 in October for me. It seemed like at one point in time there were several 1985ers on this site.

I've got a relative (my grandfather's cousin), who's reached the incredible age of 102. She's rather tired these days though. She's got a five-year-old great great granddaughter. Not many people live to see a great great grandchild.

Wow, 102! Just like Delores Hope (Bob Hope's wife). Yes, not many people make it to that age.
Someone who is 102 probably laughs at 54 being "old!"

There are some still around!!

Me too!
KurtfromPitts 06-26-2013, 10:58 AM I'm 51.
Penny Lane 06-26-2013, 04:25 PM According to the poll I'm the "geezer" here!(63) And notice there is no one under 17? Remember when half of the members were teens?:) Ah.............. the good old days....................;)
gilligan fanatic 06-26-2013, 04:30 PM Still can't believe nobody is under 18 yet. I'll be 25 this year too, there aren't that many of us in the 19-24 range either

I remember when I first joined. I didn't tell anybody my age for the first year I was on Sitcoms Online. That's because there were so many young members. My how times have changed.
I'm 21.
Signed up when I was 13. Started reading on here when I was 10. I wonder what happened to all of the under 21's? lol

Don't worry. At least you know how to knit and sew. :D

Not really LOL I can't knit and I despise sewing! I'm very good at computer games, crossword puzzles, trivia . I'd rather be playing games or reading than any craft things. I buy my arts and crafts online ready made!

So weird to think we were still teens when we first joined and we are now starting to creep up on 30! When we have our birthdays this year, it means we'll have only one more birthday left after that as a 20something.
I was still in high school when I signed up here... and now my 10 year HS reunion is later this summer. :o How did that happen?!?!

That really is crazy. I didn't even want to enter the late 20's phase, so I'm definitely not looking forward to the next number!

Personally, unlike just about everyone I know, I was never anxious to age past the age of 12. Seemed like too much responsibility to me; driving a car, getting a job, living on my own, getting married.
Still does, kinda. ;)
Furienna 06-28-2013, 01:49 PM Well, if I stopped aging now, I wouldn't complain. But that won't happen, and next year, it's time for the big three oh for me. :(

I'm kinda nervous about it... Almost a month after I turned 14, one of my cousins passed away unexpectedly of heart failure. She'd just turned 30 three months prior. I'm the baby of three in my family... my sis (middle child) turned 30 last year and sometime after that, she went in for a checkup. Her doc gave her the all-clear - no health problems to worry about. :) (she just turned 31 and aside from a recent discovery that she has a heat allergy, she's still fine health-wise)
My cousin's heart problem stemmed from HER mom's side of the family (not blood-related to us), so I really don't have to worry about it happening to me. But I still worry anyway.
Tubehead 06-29-2013, 06:50 PM I TURN 32 NEXT THRUSDAY I NEED TO GO TO NEVER LAND I DON'T WANT TO BE OLD.
