(The Washington Capitals beat Rangers 1-0.)

(Ralph & Ed watched the game in the pool room.)

Ralph: "What a heartbreaker Norton. Those Rangers had outplayed the Capitals and the Capitals got lucky."

(Ed blows his nose.)

Ed: "So far, it's been a dark, dark day."

Ralph: "Our dreams of seeing a Rangers/Islanders third round have gotten worse. Those lowly Capitals have been a thorn in our side."

(Harvey and George come by.)

Harvey: "Well, it looks like you are sad Ralph. I am happy that your Rangers have lost again."

Ralph: "Don't be so sure. The series is just getting started and I have a hunch that those Capitals are going to get crushed by our Rangers. You will see a Rangers/Islanders third round."

Ed: "And if the Capitals beat them in the first round than apox on them and their ancestors."

Harvey: "How about we make a bet. If the Rangers lose, you owe me $100."

Ed: "You got it."

Harvey: "Deal. If you don't give me the money Ralph, I will come get you and beat you up. Come on George. I want to go home and punch the bag a little."

(Ralph is upset.)

(They leave.)

Ed (yells): "APOX ON YOU AND YOUR ANCESTORS." (normally): "Why did you haev to make a bet like that for? You usally are level-headed."

Ralph (yells): "GET OUT! GEEEEEEEET OUT!"

(Ed leaves.)

Ralph (camera foucing on him): "'Apox on you and your ancestors.'"

(Jackie Gleason walks on stage. Audience applauds.)

Jackie: "Thank you. The Miami Beach audiences are the BEST! GOOD NIGHT!"

(Audience cheers.)
