These 2 were always at eachother and Granny did get violant with Mrs. D a lot, BUT in all I think Granny had a much better heart than Mrs. Drysdale. I think if something horrible happened to Mrs Drysdale Granny would feel sorry and regret having fought with her so much, so I'm wondering if something horrible happen to Granny do you think Mrs D. would feel the least bit sorry?

I would say no....And Granny did feel sorry for Margaret and tried to help her in a b&w episode of the show.

That's right, comedyfreak.
As written, Margaret was about as heartless as any sitcom character you'll find. On TBH, most of the regular characters fell hard into passive or agressive categories:
Jed, Miss Jane, Elly: Passive, although Elly is somewhat wild early on. These were the generally level-headed characters.
Jethro, Granny, Margaret Drysdale, Milburn Drysdale: Agressive, although Jethro is like a lamb very early on, and Milburn is very level-headed at first. These characters tended to instigate things.
We see that when two strong-willed characters like Granny and Margaret face-off, sparks will fly. This was also true for Granny and Pearl, and of course there were many times when Granny wanted to take a switch to Jethro.

Granny USUALLY had dominance over Pearl, and usually won out of Mrs. Drysdale.
It would be interesting to see what would happen if 2 equally strong willed characters were together.
I don't really count Pearl as that strong willed b/c most of the time she tried to get away from Granny when Granny was REALLY mad.
Eunice Higgins is one that comes to mind I don't see backing down from Granny.

I always liked when Granny and Mrs. Drysdale went at each other.
