Marvo301 05-02-2013, 01:53 PM I think Kimmy Gibbler served a definite purpose on Full House. She was a non family member who didn't live in the house who could come in and make comments on what was going on in the Tanner household. Kind of like a greek chorus if you will. MacLeaper 05-02-2013, 05:17 PM I like Kimmy Gibbler - she was always funny on "Full House"- Hola, Tanneritos!:)  And it was always funny seeing her call Danny "Mr. T" and sparring off with Uncle Jesse and Joey, etc. Neutronman67 05-02-2013, 10:09 PM Her and mark foster from step by step would have made a cute couple lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_zo6NQOqUXs UMfan77 05-09-2013, 12:54 PM She was the needed comic relief for the show. She brought a silliness to the show that no one else could pull off (not even Joey). I think Andrea Barber was the perfect "Kimmy Gibler". Neutronman67 05-11-2013, 05:20 PM Agree she was funny and weird that made the show funny gidgetgrape 05-11-2013, 05:41 PM Kimmy was great! And unlike "Family Matters" she didn't take over the show and turn it in another direction. TMC 05-21-2013, 02:41 AM http://www.screenjunkies.com/tv/tv-lists/the-kimmy-gibbler-effect-7-tv-neighbors-everyone-secretly-hated/ Before traditional family sitcoms died a slow death in the ’90s, virtually all of them seized on an annoying formula in an effort to increase viewership. They took an oddball neighbor or friend associated with the main family on the show and gave them increasing amounts of camera time until they were a de facto family member or became the central focus of the show itself. Their antics were equal parts annoying and dumb and gave TV viewers everywhere reasons to cheer that show’s eventual cancellation. These seven TV neighbors are the type that would require restraining orders in real life: |
