No, it wouldn't have. Just Alice and Sam there would not be good. You'd need all the other Brady's there. Like when Brady Brides came on, you needed everyone there, not just a few appearances of Alice and Carol.

I don't see that working.
As talented an actress as Ann B. Davis was, I don't think she cold have carried a series. She's an incredible supporting presence, but not a lead. Same with Allen Melvin. He had a lot of supporting and guest star roles in a lot of classic shows, but he's not a leading man.
I wonder is Sherwood ever thought about such a series?

I dont think Sam could be able to hold long conversations with alice in a spin-off he was not very talkative in my opinion.
