for me. We have a new family member as of tonight. My nephews wife gave birth to a son, Wesely Reed.
I don't know what that makes me though. A great-uncle?? A great- uncle once removed??? Maybe a God-uncle???:lol:

If the baby is biologically your nephew's child, then you are a great uncle.

I wonder why the term "grand" isn't used for great-uncles/aunts just like the term "grand" is used when referring to great/grand mothers/fathers.

Regardless, I personally prefer the term "grand-uncle", or "great-grand-uncle".
